We are looking for a Psychosocial Counselor for our counseling center in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, starting immediately.
Our counseling team provides information and advice to Russian-speaking LGBTIQ* refugees and migrants from countries such as Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, etc., covering various topics from asylum and residence law to social and psychosocial issues.
Location: Berlin 20 hours per week, initially limited until 31.12.2025
Your Responsibilities:
- Conducting psychosocial initial assessments
- Counseling LGBTIQ* refugees in difficult situations
- Close collaboration and support with social counseling
- Referral and accompaniment to other support services
- Assisting with translation/interpretation if necessary
- Coordinating volunteers if necessary
Your Profile:
- Relevant experience in psychosocial counseling
- A completed university degree or equivalent qualifications and experience
- Good German and Russian language skills (spoken and written); Ukrainian and/or Georgian are highly beneficial
- Commitment and empathy for people in difficult life situations
- Resilience, teamwork ability, and the capacity to work independently
- Identification with the goals, tasks, and values of Quarteera e.V.
